Noldi Schreck America 2026: A Continental Platform for Architecture and Design

The Noldi Schreck America 2026 Award has opened its call for architecture and interior design projects completed across North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America. The deadline for submissions is September 4, 2026.

Organized by Glocal Design Magazine, the Award enters a new stage with a continental scope. Its purpose is to recognize outstanding projects while encouraging a broader conversation about the future of the built environment.

A Platform for Architecture Across the Americas

Inspired by the legacy of Arnold “Noldi” Schreck, a key figure in hotel architecture and tourism development in Mexico, the Award began as a national recognition. It now expands its reach to connect the talent, ideas, and experiences transforming the continent.

The 2026 edition will bring together architects, interior designers, developers, academics, and industry professionals. In addition, finalist projects will be presented live before an international jury.

The program will also recognize three distinguished careers: Architectural Achievement, Academic Achievement, and Achievement in the Visual Narrative of Space. These distinctions celebrate those who have contributed to designing, studying, and communicating architecture.

The categories for this edition have been organized according to a thematic structure. This approach will support the evaluation of projects and encourage discussion around the major issues shaping architecture across the Americas.

The Special Awards are not open for direct entry.

These distinctions will be granted by the jury to projects that demonstrate exceptional quality and a significant approach within these fields.

If relevant, participants may include a brief explanation—up to four lines—describing why their project should be considered for a Special Award.

PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES

• Projects must be completed before the closing date of the call for entries.
• Projects may not be more than three years old.
• Each firm may submit a maximum of five projects per category.
• Entries must be submitted exclusively through the official application form.
• Participants must read and accept the Terms and Conditions of the call for entries.

Entry Fees

The call offers two participation options:

• Two projects and two tickets to the conference forum: MXN $4,500 / USD $250.
• One project and one ticket to the conference forum: MXN $2,500 / USD $140.

If an invoice is required, the corresponding VAT will be added.

Materials Required for Submission

All materials must be submitted in a single PDF file with a maximum size of 15 MB. The first page must include the project name and a project description of between 1,500 and 2,000 characters, including spaces.

Pages two through four must contain architectural drawings without dimensions or gridlines. Photographs must follow, with one image per page and no logos or watermarks.

The following materials must also be submitted:

• 10 photographs of the completed project.
• Three general architectural drawings.
• A signed authorization letter on the firm’s letterhead granting permission for publication.
• A video tour of the project, with a maximum duration of 1 minute and 30 seconds.
• AI-generated narration is recommended to preserve anonymity.

Additional Files

All files must be uploaded directly through the application form. Participants must also include:

• A project presentation in PDF format, with a maximum file size of 25 MB.
• A PDF information sheet containing the firm’s contact name, address, telephone number, and email address.
• Between 15 and 30 high-resolution photographs at 300 dpi.
• Files must follow this naming format: Project_Firm_001.

All images must be selected and uploaded at the same time.

Evaluation and International Jury

The jury will include internationally recognized architects, designers, academics, and industry professionals. The evaluation process will involve a technical and conceptual review, deliberation sessions, and a live presentation of the finalist projects.

Through this process, the Award seeks to strengthen transparency, rigor, and the public validation of the submitted work.
